Consumer Reports Identifies GE Profile Microwave as Least Reliable, Suggests Alternatives
Consumer Reports has identified the GE Profile PEM31SFSS microwave as one of the least reliable models on the market. In their testing, the microwave scored poorly in heating evenness and speed, receiving only 1 out of 5 points for heating evenness and 2 out of 5 for speed. Despite receiving full marks for noise, the report highlights that low noise levels do not compensate for its overall unreliability and ineffectiveness. Historically, GE has been known for producing reliable microwaves, but this particular model falls short of expectations. Consumer Reports suggests the GE JES1109RRSS as a better alternative, which scored well in defrosting, noise, and heating evenness.
