VMware Introduces Enhanced Cybersecurity Hands-on Labs for Cloud Foundation Security
VMware has launched an updated series of VMware vDefend and Avi Cybersecurity Hands-on Labs to help organizations strengthen their security posture against advanced, AI-driven threats. These interactive labs provide practical experience in safeguarding VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) private clouds. The initiative is part of Cybersecurity Awareness Month, emphasizing the need for active defense strategies beyond basic awareness. The labs cover critical security areas including micro-segmentation and zero trust, advanced threat prevention (IDS/IPS, Network Traffic Analysis, behavioral analysis), and modern load balancing for application performance and security. Participants can learn at their own pace, tackling scenarios from foundational firewall protection with DFW 1-2-3-4 to advanced threat prevention with virtual patching, and securing vSphere Kubernetes Service (VKS) clusters.
