Gracey Resident Lucas Hite Joins Kentucky Agricultural Leadership Program, Emphasizes Agritourism
Lucas Hite, a resident of Gracey, Kentucky, has been selected as one of 22 participants in the Kentucky Agricultural Leadership Program's (KALP) Class 15. The program, housed at the University of Kentucky Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment, aims to develop leadership skills among individuals involved in agriculture. Hite, who is the youngest male member of the class, was nominated by Nick Woodruff, a past participant and son-in-law of Seven Springs Farms' owner, where Hite worked during high school. The program includes seminars, farm tours, and discussions on various agricultural topics, such as agritourism, which Hite finds particularly intriguing. Participants will engage in activities across Kentucky and beyond, including a planned visit to South America next year.
