For instance, Dulles International Airport recorded 95°F (35°C) on Monday, surpassing its previous record of 91°F (33°C) set in 1987. Baltimore also reached 95°F (35°C), just shy of its record of 97°F (36°C). A cold front is forecast to arrive late Wednesday, bringing showers, thunderstorms, and a significant drop in temperatures.
