Google Health Enables Two-Way Syncing with Apple Health for Fitbit Users
Google Health has introduced a significant update to its iOS app, allowing for two-way data syncing with Apple Health. This update enables users to share data such as exercise records, sleep, vitals, and steps from Google Health to Apple Health. Previously, Fitbit data could only be imported into Apple Health through third-party utilities or indirect connections. The update, version 5.05, also introduces Smart Health Links, which facilitate the sharing of medical records with healthcare providers or family members. This development marks a significant step in bridging the gap between Google and Apple's health ecosystems, which has existed since 2014 when Fitbit initially declined to support Apple's HealthKit.
