Former Chesterfield Schools Dean Sues Over Firing Related to Charlie Kirk Facebook Post
Alana Hartman-Hall, a former dean of students at Clover Hill High School in Chesterfield County, Virginia, has filed a lawsuit against the Chesterfield School Board and other officials. The lawsuit, filed in Richmond federal court, claims that her termination violated her First Amendment rights. Hartman-Hall was dismissed from her position in October after posting comments on Facebook regarding the death of conservative influencer Charlie Kirk. Her post suggested that Kirk's advocacy for certain policies led to his demise, stating, 'You reap what you sow.' Hartman-Hall is seeking $10 million in compensatory damages, along with lost wages and other damages. The Chesterfield County Public Schools have declined to comment on the lawsuit.
