Boston Logan Introduces Remote TSA Checkpoint to Ease Airport Congestion
Boston Logan International Airport is set to introduce a remote TSA security checkpoint in Framingham, approximately 25 miles from the airport, starting June 1. This initiative, described as the 'first of its kind' by Massachusetts Port Authority officials, aims to alleviate the long lines associated with TSA security checks. Initially, the service will be available to Delta and JetBlue passengers flying between 5:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. The program allows travelers to clear security before reaching the airport terminal, with buses scheduled to transport passengers to the airport 45 minutes before their flights. The initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance customer experience and streamline the travel process, with plans to expand the service to additional airlines in the future.
