Marcus Foundation Grants $3 Million to Jewish Fertility Foundation Amid Rising Demand
The Marcus Foundation has awarded a $3 million grant to the Jewish Fertility Foundation (JFF) in response to a significant increase in demand for in vitro fertilization (IVF) grants. This grant is the largest single donation in the history of JFF, which was established in 2015. The funding will be used to cover operational costs such as employee salaries, benefits, and marketing expenses, as well as to increase the allocation of fertility grants. The foundation has experienced three spikes in demand for IVF grants, attributed to various factors including increased awareness and the use of assisted reproductive technology. Additionally, JFF is piloting a program to provide grants for gestational surrogacy, particularly benefiting LGBTQ+ Jewish families.
