EU Guidelines on AI Transparency Aim to Enhance Trust and Integrity
The European Union has released guidelines on transparency obligations for providers and deployers of AI systems, as outlined in Article 50 of the AI Act. These guidelines aim to ensure that individuals are informed when interacting with AI systems or exposed to AI-generated content. The guidelines address the challenges posed by generative and interactive AI systems, which can blur the lines between human-created and AI-generated content. The EU's transparency obligations are designed to prevent misinformation, manipulation, and consumer deception, fostering trust in the information ecosystem.
