Chattanooga Man Sentenced to 188 Months in Federal Prison for Drug Charges
Jermichael Tillery, a Chattanooga man, has been sentenced to 188 months in federal prison on drug charges following a traffic stop in Loudon County. Tillery, who had previously served time for a manslaughter case, was stopped by a state trooper on I-75 on June 4, 2024. During the stop, authorities found 3.5 pounds of methamphetamine, 1,950 units of fentanyl, 30 grams of marijuana, three units of oxycodone, and $4,039 in cash in the vehicle he was driving. Tillery claimed the 2023 Volkswagen Jetta with California license plates was borrowed from a friend, but it was later discovered to be registered to his sister, Xaviera King, in Tennessee. Tillery's criminal history includes a 2016 charge for murder, which was reduced to voluntary manslaughter, resulting in a three-year sentence.
