David Tepper, owner of the Carolina Panthers, has been named to the 2026 TIME 100 Philanthropy list for his substantial charitable contributions. Tepper donated over $529 million to various causes, with a significant focus on combating antisemitism through the Tepper Foundation. His efforts included enhancing security at Jewish institutions, which proved crucial during an attack on the Temple Israel synagogue in Michigan, where security measures protected over 100 children. Tepper also played a key role in Hurricane Helene relief efforts, organizing a benefit concert that raised nearly $25 million for affected communities in western North Carolina. Additionally, the David and Nicole Tepper Foundation contributed over $10 million to support food banks in the Carolinas.
