StoryCorps and NPR Launch Connect250 to Foster American Conversations for 250th Anniversary
StoryCorps, in collaboration with NPR's Morning Edition, has initiated a project called Connect250, aimed at fostering intimate conversations between Americans who have never met. This initiative is part of the celebration of America's 250th anniversary. Participants are paired for 40-minute video calls to discuss various topics, with the option to share their conversations publicly. The project seeks to create a 'time capsule' of American voices, emphasizing commonalities over differences. The initiative has already received significant interest, with over 10,000 applications since its launch.
