Connecticut Launches Dual Campaigns to Enhance Youth Mental Health Support and Awareness
Connecticut state officials, in collaboration with the United Way of Connecticut and Daydream Communications, have launched two new media campaigns aimed at increasing awareness and access to mental health resources for young people. These campaigns, available in both English and Spanish, were unveiled at the Legislative Office Building. The initiative comes as students return to school, a period often associated with stressful transitions, and coincides with September being Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. One campaign highlights the availability of crisis continuum services, including the state-operated 211 hotline, the United Way-operated 988 hotline, and mobile crisis centers.
