Mercedes Benz Crash in Romania Highlights Driver Safety Concerns
A dramatic incident involving a Mercedes Benz sedan occurred in Oradea, Romania, where the vehicle went airborne and soared over other cars. The crash, captured on video, happened after the driver, a 49-year-old man, suffered a diabetic episode and fainted at the wheel. This led the car to jump a curb, narrowly miss a bus, and eventually crash into a utility pole. Despite the severity of the crash, the driver survived with only a few broken bones. Emergency services had to extract him from the vehicle, and he was subsequently hospitalized. The local police fined the driver approximately $365 and imposed a 90-day suspension of his driving license.
