Joanna Shields Found Dead in Big Sur, Investigation Ongoing
Joanna Shields, a 37-year-old woman from Carlsbad, California, was found dead in the Ventana Wilderness area of the Los Padres National Forest near Big Sur. Her body was discovered by hikers, and the Monterey County Sheriff's Office is treating her death as suspicious. Shields was known for her love of nature and was a brand ambassador for Evolve Skateboards. Her death has deeply affected her community, particularly the skateboarding community, where she was a prominent figure. An autopsy has been completed, but authorities are awaiting toxicology results to determine the cause of death.
