Berg Propulsion Advances India's Green Tug Initiative with Electric Tug Launch
Berg Propulsion is playing a crucial role in India's Green Tug Transition Programme by supplying key components for two all-electric tugs. These vessels, constructed by KMEW Group, are part of India's efforts to achieve net-zero emissions by 2070. Berg Propulsion is providing electric motors, thrusters, and a full electrical system integration package, ensuring enhanced maneuverability and control. The tugs, designed by Navnautik, are set to enter service in late 2027, pending approval from the Indian Register of Shipping.
