Netflix Surpasses BBC as Preferred Streaming Service for UK Audiences
According to Ofcom's latest Media Nations report, Netflix has become the primary choice for UK audiences when selecting content to watch, surpassing the BBC. In 2025, 26% of UK viewers preferred Netflix, compared to 25% for the BBC. This shift is particularly pronounced among younger viewers, with 36% of 16-24 year olds choosing Netflix first.
