Iraq Seeks Economic Integration with Gulf States to Foster Regional Peace
Iraq is advocating for closer transport and logistics cooperation with the UAE and other Gulf states, viewing economic integration as a pathway to lasting peace in the region. Iraqi Transport Minister Wahab Al Hassani emphasized the importance of shared economic interests in reinforcing political stability, especially in the aftermath of the Iran war. The UAE has been actively involved in Iraq's logistics projects, with companies like AD Ports Group launching services to enhance trade routes. These initiatives aim to create efficient commercial corridors, linking Iraq with Gulf markets and beyond.
