SpaceX to Launch AST SpaceMobile's BlueBird Satellites for Direct-to-Cell Service
SpaceX is set to launch three AST SpaceMobile BlueBird satellites from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. The launch, scheduled for August 5, will continue building AST SpaceMobile's constellation in low Earth orbit, aimed at providing internet service directly to unmodified smartphones. This launch follows the deployment of previous BlueBird satellites and marks a significant step towards operational readiness. The BlueBird satellites are designed to deliver high-speed internet, with the latest models offering nearly double the peak download speeds of earlier versions.
