Sheridan College Foundation Invests $3.5 Million in Johnson County Education and Workforce Expansion
The Sheridan College Foundation has committed $3.5 million to the new Sheridan College in Johnson County Center for Higher Education in Buffalo. This significant contribution aims to enhance educational facilities and expand program offerings in high-demand areas such as skilled trades and agriculture. The goal is to address regional workforce needs and provide local students with pathways to meaningful careers without requiring them to leave Johnson County. In addition to the facility funding, the Foundation is supporting a county-wide scholarship matching initiative, making up to $200,000 available for degree-seeking students from Johnson County. Early contributions from the City of Buffalo, Johnson County, and individual donors have already raised over $65,000, which, with the match, totals over $130,000.
