Philips Survey Reveals AI's Impact on Clinician Efficiency and Patient Care
A recent survey conducted by Philips, as part of the Future Health Index 2026, highlights the growing integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare settings. The survey, which gathered insights from over 2,000 healthcare professionals and 20,000 patients across ten countries, reveals that 74% of clinicians have increased their use of AI-enabled tools over the past year. These tools are primarily used for transcribing clinical notes, supporting clinical decision-making, and identifying potential drug interactions. The report indicates that AI has significantly improved workflow efficiency, with 58% of clinicians reporting enhanced efficiency and 54% noting faster diagnostic decision-making. Additionally, AI has contributed to time savings, reduced work-related stress, and improved work-life balance for clinicians.
