Springfield Schools Launch $300K Campaign to Fund Teacher-Led Projects
The Foundation for Springfield Public Schools has initiated the Grant SPS campaign to raise $300,000 by August 31 to support teacher-led projects. This initiative aims to provide grants for classroom enhancements that exceed standard budgets, focusing on literacy, STEM, and agriculture education. Last year, the foundation awarded $300,000 in grants, but the demand exceeded $650,000, leaving many projects unfunded. The campaign encourages community members and corporate sponsors to contribute, ensuring that all students have the necessary tools for success. The foundation offers three types of grants: Back-to-School Grants for teacher-led projects, Impact Grants for principal-led programs, and District Grants for large-scale projects.
