Amazon Pharmacy Offers Weight-Loss Drugs to Medicare Beneficiaries for $50 Monthly
Amazon Pharmacy has announced a new initiative to provide weight-loss medications to eligible Medicare beneficiaries for $50 a month through a federal program. This program, known as the Medicare bridge program, aims to expand access to weight-loss treatments by automating eligibility checks, prior authorization, and billing processes. The program covers medications such as Novo Nordisk's Wegovy and Eli Lilly's Zepbound KwikPen, with the initiative running until the end of 2027. Amazon Pharmacy's approach includes home delivery and in-store pickup options to streamline access for patients.
