Leonardo Secures Contract to Supply Indonesian Air Force with M-346 Aircraft
Leonardo, in collaboration with PT E-System Solutions (ESS) Indonesia, has signed a contract to supply the Indonesian Ministry of Defence with 12 M-346 F Master Block 20 multirole combat and trainer aircraft. This agreement, finalized at the Farnborough International Airshow, follows a Letter of Intent signed in February. The contract aims to replace Indonesia's aging BAE Systems Hawk aircraft and includes plans for localizing support, maintenance, repair, and overhaul capabilities. The M-346 F Block 20 features advanced systems such as a Link 16 datalink, a Large Area Display, and an active electronically scanned array radar. Deliveries are expected to begin in 2030.
