This could cost the state millions due to a new cost-sharing structure with the federal government. The state is exploring the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to improve accuracy and reduce errors in SNAP payments. The current system, SPACES, developed by Deloitte, has been criticized for its inefficiencies and high costs. Lawmakers are concerned about the system's performance and are considering holding Deloitte accountable for the issues.
