Rain Expected in Southern California Midweek with Gusty Winds
Southern California is anticipating a slight chance of rain this week, particularly in Los Angeles and surrounding areas. According to the National Weather Service, there is a 20% to 30% chance of measurable rain in Los Angeles by Wednesday night. The eastern San Gabriel Mountains may experience showers on Thursday morning and afternoon. Winds are expected to increase late Wednesday into Thursday, with gusts reaching 25 to 35 mph, especially in mountain and desert regions. Despite the rain forecast, many areas will likely remain dry, and those receiving rain will see less than a quarter of an inch. The chance of rain is higher in Orange and San Diego counties. Temperatures are expected to rise later in the week, with highs in the mid-70s to upper 80s by Friday and Saturday.
