Australia-Japan Pact Highlights Goongarrie Hub for Critical Minerals Supply Chain
Ardea Resources' Goongarrie Hub, part of the Kalgoorlie Nickel Project, has been selected as a key project in a new Australia-Japan minerals pact. Announced by Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, the initiative aims to enhance secure and diversified supply chains for critical minerals. The Goongarrie Hub is recognized for its significant nickel-cobalt resources, essential for advanced manufacturing and battery supply chains. This collaboration underscores the strategic importance of critical minerals in economic security and the energy transition.
