Erin Brockovich Launches Initiative to Address AI Data Center Concerns Nationwide
Environmental activist Erin Brockovich has initiated a project to address growing concerns over AI data centers across the United States. Brockovich, known for her activism against water contamination, has launched an interactive online hub that allows communities to report issues related to data centers. The website features a crowdsourced map with over 3,600 reported locations of data centers, including those already built, under construction, or proposed. Brockovich personally reviews submissions to ensure accuracy and relevance. The initiative aims to amplify community voices and highlight transparency issues surrounding data center developments, which have been linked to environmental and economic impacts such as water shortages, increased utility bills, and noise pollution.
