U.S. Space Command's JISE Relocates to Redstone Arsenal, Enhancing Operational Capabilities
The U.S. Space Command's Joint Intelligence Support Element (JISE) has officially relocated to Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama, marking a significant step in the command's transition from Colorado Springs. This move, which took place on April 15, 2026, involves personnel from the J2 Intelligence Directorate, who are among the first to permanently move to the new headquarters. The relocation is part of a broader strategy to establish a permanent presence at Redstone Arsenal, following the President's announcement on September 2, 2025. The Redstone Transition Team was established at the end of 2025 to facilitate this move, ensuring that it is conducted efficiently without compromising mission-critical operations. The JISE will play a crucial role in supporting the command's operational mission through intelligence analysis, marking the first operational facility U.S. Space Command will inhabit at the Arsenal.
