Cockroach Janta Party to Lead Protest March to Indian Parliament
The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), a youth-led movement, has called for a mass protest march to India's Parliament on Monday, July 20, 2026. The movement, which began as a satirical response to a Supreme Court justice's controversial remarks, has grown into a significant campaign against systemic issues in the education sector. Activist Sonam Wangchuk, who had been on a hunger strike for 21 days, was forcibly hospitalized on Saturday, sparking outrage among supporters. Protesters are demanding accountability for exam paper leaks and other failures in the education system, as well as the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
