Amazon One Medical Launches Nationwide GLP-1 Program for Obesity Management
Amazon One Medical has introduced a nationwide GLP-1 management program that integrates obesity treatment with comprehensive primary care. Unlike direct-to-consumer services that focus solely on weight loss drugs, Amazon's program treats obesity as a chronic condition, adjusting hypertension and diabetes medications as patients lose weight. The program is integrated with Amazon Pharmacy, offering competitive pricing and same-day delivery in nearly 3,000 cities, with plans to expand to 4,500 cities by the end of 2026. The initiative aims to provide holistic management of obesity, ensuring weight loss is managed in the context of cardiovascular health and overall well-being.
