Pierce County Deputies Search for Suspect After Officer-Involved Shooting in Tacoma
Pierce County investigators are actively searching for Skyler Cantrell, a suspect involved in an officer-involved shooting in Tacoma. Deputies found Cantrell slumped over in a vehicle early Sunday morning. Identified as a suspect with multiple felony warrants, including second-degree assault and eluding police, Cantrell attempted to flee by ramming vehicles and allegedly driving at a deputy. Shots were fired, but no deputies were injured. Cantrell's vehicle was later found crashed and abandoned. Residents reported a man matching Cantrell's description seeking help with visible injuries. Despite an extensive search using drones and a K9 unit, Cantrell remains at large. Authorities urge residents to secure their homes and report any sightings.
