Carnival Corporation Expands Surplus Meal Donation Program to The Bahamas, Enhancing Community Support
Carnival Corporation has launched its surplus meal donation program in The Bahamas as part of its Less Left Over strategy, which aims to reduce food waste and support local communities. The program's first donation in The Bahamas involved over 318 pounds of prepared, unserved meals from Carnival Freedom and Carnival Conquest, which were redirected to the Grand Bahama Children's Home and the Urban Renewal Authority. This initiative is part of a broader effort by Carnival to address food insecurity in port communities globally, having already expanded to 20 ports worldwide since its inception in 2017. The program is supported by partnerships with local organizations and government leaders, ensuring that surplus meals are safely redistributed to those in need.
