Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear Expands EV Charging Network with New Site in Graves County
Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear announced the opening of a new electric vehicle (EV) fast-charging station in Graves County, part of the state's ongoing efforts to expand its EV Charging Program. The station, located in Mayfield, is the 17th of its kind in Kentucky and was developed by Francis Energy under the federally funded National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) program. The initiative, administered by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, aims to provide reliable and convenient fast-charging options to support long-distance EV travel across the state. The Mayfield site features four charging ports capable of delivering up to 400 kilowatts each. This development is part of a broader strategy to enhance the state's infrastructure for electric vehicles, with 17 stations currently operational and 11 more under construction.
