Swiss Euthanasia Firm Director Dies While Climbing Mount Fuji
Bernhard Sutter, the managing director of a leading Swiss euthanasia firm, died while climbing Mount Fuji in Japan. Sutter, 58, was on a family vacation and collapsed at 3,010 meters above sea level on the Fujinomiya route. Despite efforts to revive him with a defibrillator, he passed away after being transported to a local hospital. Sutter had been with the firm, Exit, since 2007 and served as its managing director since 2015. His death marks the second fatality on Mount Fuji since the hiking season began on July 1.
