Fiery Crash on I-85 North in DeKalb County Results in One Fatality and Multiple Injuries
A multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 85 North in DeKalb County, Georgia, resulted in one fatality and multiple injuries early Sunday morning. The incident began when a box truck rear-ended a pickup truck near Shallowford Road. Shortly after, an SUV collided with a tanker truck, leading to a fire. The Georgia State Patrol and DeKalb County Police Department are investigating the crashes. The collision forced the closure of all northbound lanes near Chamblee Tucker Road for several hours as authorities worked to clear the wreckage and extinguish the fire. The roadway has since reopened.
