UC Berkeley Welcomes QuantrolOx to Quantum Innovation Corridor, Advancing Qubit Automation
UC Berkeley has officially welcomed QuantrolOx, a multinational company specializing in qubit automation, to its Quantum Innovation Corridor. This marks QuantrolOx's first U.S. office, establishing its presence within a leading quantum research hub. QuantrolOx, which originated from research at the University of Oxford, develops hardware-agnostic, machine-learning-based software designed for automated qubit characterization, calibration, and control. Its flagship product, Quantum EDGE, automates the tuning and optimization of superconducting quantum computers, significantly reducing fundamental experiment times from days to seconds and simplifying complex tasks like randomized benchmarking. This integration into UC Berkeley's ecosystem aims to accelerate quantum research and development, bridging the gap between laboratory advancements and scalable, real-world deployment of quantum processing units (QPUs). The partnership is centered on the end-to-end industrialization of QPUs, bringing software-defined qu...
