Raquel da Cunha Recuero Appointed to International Panel on the Information Environment Ethics Committee
Raquel da Cunha Recuero has been named a member of the Ethics Committee for the International Panel on the Information Environment (IPIE) for the 2024/2025 term. Recuero holds a Ph.D. in Communication and Information from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (2006) and a Master's degree in the same field (2002). Her academic background also includes a degree in Social Communication with a specialization in Journalism (1998) and a Law degree (1999). She coordinates the MIDIARS research laboratory, focusing on Media, Discourse, and Social Network Analysis. Additionally, Recuero is a professor and researcher at the Center for Letters and Communication at the Federal University of Pelotas and a researcher in the Postgraduate Program in Communication at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS).
