Severe Thunderstorms Target Great Lakes to Northeast
Dangerous thunderstorms will continue Tuesday through Wednesday across the U.S. after tornadoes, giant hail and destructive winds slammed the Plains and Midwest on Monday. Storms are shifting eastward from Texas to the Northeast, bringing threats of damaging wind gusts, flash flooding, hail and isolated tornadoes. Major cities including New York, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. could face severe weather and travel disruptions on Wednesday, while repeated downpours may trigger localized flooding in parts of the South later this week.
