Meta Platforms Experience Global Outage Affecting Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger
Thousands of users globally, including those in Israel, reported significant disruptions on Meta's platforms—Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger—on Sunday. According to Downdetector, a service that monitors website and online service outages, over 4,000 reports were submitted regarding the issue. Users experienced difficulties such as being unable to refresh their feeds, send messages, log in, or access the platforms entirely. As of the report, Meta had not released an official statement explaining the cause of the outage.
