New Haven's Pantry Celebrates Community with 'Neighbor of the Month' Initiative
In New Haven, the Pantry, a local breakfast spot, has launched a 'Neighbor of the Month' initiative to honor community members who contribute positively to the neighborhood. The initiative, a collaboration between Caroline Tanbee Smith, the Pantry, and Atelier Cho Thompson Design Studio, aims to highlight individuals who make a difference in their community. Brandon Doyle, an ecological gardener known for beautifying local areas with native plants, was recently celebrated as the second 'Neighbor of the Month.' His efforts include transforming vacant lots into pollinator gardens and working with Friends of East Rock Park on restoration projects. The initiative seeks to foster local connections and inspire others to engage with their community.
