Independent Brands and Creativity Shine at Riga Fashion Week
The 42nd edition of Riga Fashion Week highlighted the creativity and innovation of independent brands, with a focus on sustainable and slow fashion. The event, founded by Elena Strahova, featured 18 designers from the Baltic States and beyond, showcasing collections that emphasize high-quality, durable garments. Notable presentations included those by Latvian designers like Iveta Vecmane and Studio Mx, who focus on sustainable materials and timeless designs. The event also underscored the importance of craftsmanship, a tradition rooted in Latvia's history, particularly during the Soviet era when resources were scarce.
