Anthropic Expands Claude Mythos 5 Cybersecurity Access with Safeguards for Critical Infrastructure
Anthropic is broadening access to the cybersecurity capabilities of its advanced AI models, including Claude Mythos 5, while implementing controls to prevent misuse by malicious actors. This initiative, reported by SecurityWeek, builds upon Project Glasswing, which initially provided limited early access to Claude Mythos Preview and later Mythos 5. Anthropic is now collaborating with cybersecurity vendors to integrate Mythos 5 into security operations, incident response, and detection tools. These tools are designed to protect critical infrastructure and other organizations. Users will not directly interact with the model; instead, they will receive narrowly defined defensive outputs, such as recommended patches or security alerts.
