Eight Candidates Compete for Missouri's Gerrymandered 5th Congressional District
In Missouri, eight candidates are vying for the 5th Congressional District seat, currently held by Democratic U.S. Rep. Emanuel Cleaver. The district, recently redrawn under pressure from the Trump administration, now includes a mix of urban, suburban, and rural areas, stretching from Kansas City to central Missouri. The candidates include six Republicans, one Libertarian, and the incumbent Democrat.
