Utah AI Moonshot Program Launches to Fund Innovative AI Research
The Utah AI Moonshot Program has been launched as part of the Governor's Pro-Human AI Initiative. This statewide competitive funding program supports ambitious AI research projects with measurable public benefits. The program offers three funding pathways and focuses on priority areas such as mental health, environmental intelligence, and healthcare innovation. The initiative is funded through the Higher Education Research Funding Pilot and administered in partnership with the Utah System of Higher Education and the Nucleus Institute. The program encourages collaboration between higher education, industry, and government to address Utah's priorities.
