World Travel Tourism Council Expands Global Team to Enhance Industry Advocacy
The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) has announced a significant expansion of its global leadership team, now comprising 21 nationalities across five continents. This move is part of WTTC's strategy to reflect the diversity and international nature of the travel and tourism sector. The new leadership structure includes roles in advocacy, destinations, and business development, with executives bringing extensive experience from various sectors. Notable appointments include Esteban Velásquez Wilhelm as Executive Vice President of Business Development and Members, and Hon. Najib Balala as Executive Vice President of Advocacy, Government Affairs, and Research. The expansion aims to strengthen WTTC's ability to support its members and engage with governments and stakeholders worldwide.
