Terry Martin Hartmann, Former Illinois Trucking Association President, Passes Away at 86
Terry Martin Hartmann, a prominent figure in the trucking industry and former president of the Illinois Trucking Association, has passed away at the age of 86. Hartmann, who was born in Aurora, Illinois, and later resided in Ocala, Florida, died peacefully at home on May 27, 2026. He was known for his leadership roles, including serving as the Illinois State Vice President to the American Trucking Associations and as president of the Aurora Country Club and Batavia Boosters. Hartmann was deeply involved in his family’s trucking business, which grew into a Midwest Regional LTL Carrier. He is survived by his wife, Barbara, five sons, 13 grandchildren, and 30 great-grandchildren. A memorial visitation and mass are scheduled for late June in Aurora and Batavia, Illinois.
