Suspect in 'Lovers' Lane Murders' Dies in Nebraska Jail Before Extradition
Floyd William Parrott, a suspect in the decades-old 'Lovers' Lane Murders' case, has died in a Nebraska jail. Parrott was accused of murdering Andy Atkinson and Cheryl Henry in 1990 in Houston, Texas. He was arrested in Nebraska last month and was awaiting extradition to Harris County, Texas. Parrott had challenged the extradition process. The case, which remained unsolved for years, saw a breakthrough in 2025 when a tip and renewed DNA analysis led to Parrott's indictment. Parrott was also suspected of impersonating law enforcement and committing other crimes in the Houston area.
