Ethiopia Adopts Israel's Start-Up Model to Boost AI Sector
Ethiopia is drawing inspiration from Israel's 'Start-Up Nation' model to develop its artificial intelligence (AI) and technology sectors. According to The Jerusalem Post, Ethiopian Ambassador Tesfaye Yitayeh highlighted the strong bilateral relationship between Ethiopia and Israel, which has led to increased Israeli involvement in various sectors such as agriculture, technology, manufacturing, and infrastructure within Ethiopia. This collaboration is part of Ethiopia's broader strategy to enhance its technological capabilities and foster economic growth. The initiative includes official visits and investment forums, such as the one held during Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar's visit to Addis Ababa, which underscores the deepening ties between the two nations.
