Anker Introduces MindBase AI Home Hub with Local Processing and Enhanced Security Features
Anker, through its Eufy brand, has unveiled MindBase, an AI-powered smart home hub designed to serve as a central brain for autonomous homes. This device distinguishes itself by performing AI processing entirely on-device, eliminating reliance on cloud data and subscriptions for core functionalities. MindBase integrates with a wide array of Anker and Eufy products, including new security cameras like the Eufy Video Doorbell S4 and Window Camera E10, and supports Matter, Apple’s HomeKit Secure Video, Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and Home Assistant. It also functions as a Network Attached Storage (NAS) device, offering up to 48TB of local storage for files, photos, and videos. The hub utilizes an in-house-developed Large Language Model (LLM) running on an AI chip to manage and analyze data in real-time, providing features such as facial recognition and movement detection without sending sensitive biometric data to the cloud.
